• We may process limited technical information necessary for website functionality, security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and system reliability.
• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not use student information for targeted or behavioral advertising.
• We do not create advertising profiles about students.

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to SmartClassroomSolutions.com and related Smart Classroom Solutions services that link to this Policy.

The Service may include:

• certificate-generation features;

• security identifiers;

4. Student Names Are Not Stored on Our Servers

Smart Classroom Solutions does not store student names as part of the certificate system.

When an educator generates or prints a certificate, the educator may enter the student's name into the certificate page.

The student's name is processed locally within the user's web browser for the purpose of displaying or printing the certificate.

The student's name is not intentionally transmitted to Smart Classroom Solutions servers as part of this process.

The name is not stored in the Smart Classroom Solutions certificate database.

The Smart Classroom Solutions server therefore does not maintain a record stating that a specific named student received a particular certificate.

5. Browser-Based Certificate Generation

Certificate creation is designed to take place primarily within the user's browser.

An educator may enter information such as a student's name so that it appears on the printable certificate.

That information is used locally within the browser to create the displayed or printed certificate.

Smart Classroom Solutions does not intentionally transmit or retain the student name on its servers during this process.

Information entered locally may, however, be affected by the user's own:

• browser settings;
• browser autofill;
• browser extensions;
• operating system;
• printer software;
• device storage;
• screenshots;
• local downloads; or
• other third-party software.

Smart Classroom Solutions does not control information independently stored by the user's device or software.

6. Certificate Numbers and Verification

Smart Classroom Solutions may issue a unique certificate number or verification identifier.

We may retain that anonymous certificate number so that the certificate can later be verified.

Certificate-verification records may contain limited information such as:

• the certificate number;
• whether the certificate number is valid;
• the associated educational activity or certificate type;
• completion or issuance status;
• issuance or completion date, where applicable; and
• other non-identifying information reasonably necessary to confirm certificate authenticity.

The certificate-verification system is not intended to identify the individual student who received the certificate.

We do not intentionally maintain a server-side database connecting a certificate number to a student's name.

7. Information We Do Not Store Through the Certificate System

Smart Classroom Solutions does not intentionally store the following information as part of its certificate-verification system:

• student names;
• student email addresses;
• teacher-entered student names;
• home addresses;
• personal phone numbers;
• Social Security numbers;
• government identification numbers;
• biometric identifiers;
• precise GPS location;
• financial-account information;
• medical records; or
• other unnecessary personally identifiable student information.

Educators and users should avoid entering sensitive personal information into Smart Classroom Solutions unless a specific feature clearly requires it.

8. Quiz and Educational Activity Information

Smart Classroom Solutions may provide quizzes, educational activities, or interactive learning tools.

Where possible, these features are designed to function without creating personally identifiable student records.

Certain quiz or activity information may be processed temporarily to operate the feature, calculate results, or generate a certificate.

Smart Classroom Solutions does not intentionally maintain a server-side database connecting student names or email addresses with certificate-verification records unless a future feature specifically states otherwise.

If a future feature materially changes the information we collect, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

9. How We Use Information

Information processed by Smart Classroom Solutions may be used to:

The certificate system is an example of this approach.

Rather than storing the identity of each student who receives a certificate, Smart Classroom Solutions stores an anonymous certificate identifier that can be used to verify that the certificate itself is legitimate.

This allows certificate verification without requiring Smart Classroom Solutions to maintain a database of student names.

11. Children and Student Privacy

Smart Classroom Solutions provides educational resources that may be used by students, including minors.

The core certificate-verification system is designed so that Smart Classroom Solutions does not need to store the student's name or email address.

Schools, educators, parents, and guardians remain responsible for determining whether use of Smart Classroom Solutions is appropriate under their own policies and applicable law.

If Smart Classroom Solutions introduces a future feature that intentionally collects personally identifiable information from children, we will update this Privacy Policy and implement any notices, permissions, parental-consent procedures, school-authorized consent processes, or other protections required by applicable law.

12. COPPA

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, commonly known as COPPA, regulates certain online collection of personal information from children under the age of 13.

Smart Classroom Solutions is designed to minimize the collection of personally identifiable information from children.

The certificate system does not require Smart Classroom Solutions to store a child's name or email address.

If we introduce features in the future that require the collection of personal information from children under 13, we will take appropriate steps to comply with applicable COPPA requirements.

13. FERPA and Educational Records

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, commonly known as FERPA, applies to certain educational institutions and education records.

Smart Classroom Solutions is not itself a school, school district, college, or university.

Smart Classroom Solutions is designed so that its certificate-verification system does not require us to maintain personally identifiable student education records.

Schools and educational institutions remain responsible for determining whether information they use or create through Smart Classroom Solutions constitutes an education record under FERPA or other applicable law.

Educational institutions should use Smart Classroom Solutions in accordance with their own student-privacy policies and legal obligations.

14. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Smart Classroom Solutions may use cookies, session information, server logs, and similar technologies when reasonably necessary to:
